Dear Acer's friend,
I am very excited to share with you that Acer launches
a new generation e-Business -MegaMicro e-Business-today.
This is the clear direction we want to focus as our new
core business in the coming years.
We believe Acer MegaMicro e-Business is the right business
model. While most companies are struggling with the budget
for e-Business, we offer some kinds of affordable and
flexible-scale services to those do not have the knowledge
or cannot pay for the maintenance of expensive hardware,
software, and human powers.
We believe now is the right timing to promote MegaMicro
e-Business programs. As the margin of IT hardware drops
significantly, Acer needs to develop profitable business.
For most small and medium businesses, this is also the
critical moment for them to e-enabling their e-business,
within a low-budget, to gain higher work efficiency as
well as to be just a common operation platform for doing
business in the IT era.
We believe Acer can realize MegaMicro e-Business. Before
the legal merger of Acer Inc. and its sales & marketing
arms Acer Sertek in March 2002, we now have aligned all
e-business related subsidiaries, such as Acer Internet,
Acer Pagic, and Acer CyberCenter, into a virtual organization
in Acer Inc. to develop immediately a comprehensive system
of e-services and e-infrastructure for Acer MegaMicro
e-Business and create an instantaneous business proficiency.
With tremendous professional know-how and human resources
in the fields, Acer will be able to integrate IT equipment,
network, management platforms, and application software
to back up the various horizontal application e-Service
for businesses.
Acer starts the MegaMicro e-Business today in Taiwan,
and then will extend the business to Shanghai by Q2 2002.
We will also offer in other international city the new
IT products bundled with preferred Micro e-Services, to
generate the added values and service capabilities for
our global customers.
